Colby Rasmus

Colby Rasmus is a Major League Baseball player for the Saint Louis Cardinals. He was born on August 11, 1986 and was selected by the Cardinals in the 2005 draft.http://mlb.mlb.com/mlb/minorleagues/prospects/y2009/profile.jsp?t=p_top&pid=458675 He played for Phenix City in the 1999 Little League World Series. Rasmus was selected to play for the US Olympic Baseball 2008 team, but couldn't play due to injury. He made his Major League debut on April 7, 2009.

Colby Rasmus played with Quad Cities and Palm Beach (A League) in 2006. He played in the Midwest League All Star Game and 16 home runs in 131 games. In 2007, Rasmus played for Springfield (AA League) and was the Cardinals Minor League Player of the Year. He was named to the AA All Star Team by Baseball America and Topps and lead the league with 27 home runs and 93 runs batted in. Colby Rasmus had an injured filled 2008 season at Memphis (AAA League).
