    While she was an indie artist, Caillat gained fame via her popular MySpace page, which featured her biggest single to date, "Bubbly." Upon being signed by Universal Republic Records, the track was released and hit the top 5 across the U.S. Billboard Hot 100, pop and adult contemporary charts.

    The success of the single shot her debut album, Coco, to #5 on the Billboard 200. Her second single, "Realize," hit the Top 40 across the charts in 2008.

    Caillat cites Lauryn Hill and the Fugees as major influences.
