Troy Polamalu reprised Mean Joe Green's performance in an iconic Coke ad for the 2009 Super Bowl. The 2009 edition began with Polamalu limping off the field. A young fan followed him and offered him his Coke Zero. Then the brand managers for Coke Zero run in. Polamalu beats them and offers the young fan a gift.

The original commercial featured Green limping alone off a football field. A young player offers the injured player his Coke. While the man grabs his Coke and drinks it, the young kid walks away dejected. Green calls the kid back and throws him is game towel as a thank you for the child's generosity. -
