Coke Super Bowl Ad — "Animated Kingdom"
Super Bowl XLV, held February 6, 2011, will feature 2 ads for Coke and one for the Powerade brand, owned by Coke. The first ad will focus on two border guards in two unnamed countries (the spot was shot in Morocco) who bond over a bottle of the famous cola. The second ad is animated, and takes place in a fantasy kingdom. Coca-Cola traditionally advertises each year at the Super Bowl, along with its primary competitor, Pepsi. Last year, Pepsi opted to skip advertising during the game and focus the funds on its Pepsi Refresh charitable project. This year, Pepsi has returned and will air several ads.

In the Simpsons commercial previous millionaire and tycoon, Mr Burns faces hard times like many Americans making the theme for the 2010 Coke Super Bowl ad one relevant to the current times. Mr Burns portrayed the greedy man on the popular animated show. The commercial shows a depressed Burns watching all of his belongings being hauled away during a foreclosure sale. Burns is given a Coke at the end of the commercial to turn his day to a brighter one.
2009 Coke Super Bowl Ad

One ad featured an a group of people drinking Coke and their respective internet "Avatars". The final ad is a CG mini-movie entitled "The Heist".
