The goal of the game is to create complex machines by sliding and connecting different tiles. The game offers different playing modes:

Inventor Mode: - Allows each player to advance in the game starting with simple puzzles and move to more complex and advanced machines.

Time Challenge Mode: - Is unlocked only after the player beats the Inventor Mode. In Time Challenge, the player has 30 seconds to complete a puzzle.

There are 51 levels available in Cogs. In addition to that, players can record and save their scores and share them using the online leader board available in the game.
