Son of Dusty Rhodes, Cody Rhodes is a professional wrestler with World Wrestling Entertainment. After starting in the WWE's developmental territory, Ohio Valley Wrestling--even winning the Television Championship there--he debuted on regular WWE programming in 2007.
On April 26, 2009, Rhodes teamed up with Randy Orton and Ted DiBiase Jr. to defeat Triple H, Batista and Shane McMahon at the 2009 Backlash pay-per-view. Skysports: Orton Strikes at Backlash (April 27, 2009)
History
His first feud was with Randy Orton, who had insulted and threatened to permanently injure Rhodes's father. After trying unsuccessfully to defeat Orton, Rhodes was then booked in a series of matches with Hardcore Holly. After three defeats, he finally pinned Holly the fourth time around, thereby earning Holly's respect.
The two formed a tag team, defeating Lance Cade and Trevor Murdoch for the World Tag Team Championship in December of 2007.
On June 30's 2008 episode of Monday Night Raw, Rhodes turned on Hardcore Holly and joined Ted DiBiase Jr. in winning the tag-team belts.OWOW: Cody Rhodes Profile
