• Code Pink is a feminist anti-war group that has been vocal in its protests of George W. Bush and the war in Iraq. The group's purpose is to stop funding of the war and divert resources into health care, education and other causes. The members wear their trademark pink shirts at rallies and events. The group claims to have more than 250 chapters around the world.

    On Mother's Day, Code Pink organizes and annual protest of the Iraq war and other perceived injustices around the globe. Their first Mother's Day protest in 2006 in Lafayette Park in Washington, D.C. garnered media attention.

    According to the group's website, Code Pink "is a women-initiated grassroots peace and social justice movement working to end the war in Iraq, stop new wars, and redirect our resources into healthcare, education and other life-affirming activities."
