AK74u features a magazine capable to hold 30 rounds, but if the magazine is extended it will carry up to 45 rounds. In the Multiplayer Mode, the AK74u can be unlocked only at level 17, while in the Single-player Mode it appears in missions such as Crash Site, Rebirth and Redemption. Players will observe that the AK74U has moderate recoil but if the Grip is attached, the recoil will be lowered. Other attachments that can be used on this weapon are: Red Dot Sight, Suppressor, Dual Magazine, Extended Magazine, ACOG, Reflex, Rapid Fire and Grenade Launcher.
