  • 16-year-old Coco Vandeweghe is a professional tennis player. She first played at the Acura Classic at 14 and made her grand-slam debut at the 2008 U.S. Open, losing in the first round in straight sets to second seed Jelena Jankovic.

    Vandeweghe has only competed in three WTA matches. She lost all of those matches in straight sets and on hard surfaces. A native of Carlsbad, California, she will graduate high school in 2009.
