Coachella is an annual music and arts festival that is held in Indio and Riverside County, California held during a weekend in April. The very first Coachella festival was held in 1999 and has grown steadily every year since. It has grown from a two-day event to a three-day event stretching from Friday to Sunday.

The 2010 Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival lineup features over 130 artists including Jay-Z, Pavement, Muse, Faith No More, DJ Tiesto, the Gorillaz and Coheed and Cambria. The 2010 Coachella lineup was announced on January 18, 2010.

The Coachella Valley Music Arts Festival features musical artists and bands as well as artists such as sculptures and installation artists. These artistic works are usually scattered throughout the grounds where attendees will be able to see them on a daily basis. The festival is open to all ages but there is an 8-ticket limit for the festival and camping.

Parking is free during the day.

Children under the age of 5 get free entry.

The gates open at 11am daily.

The shows end at 1am on Friday and Saturday nights.

The festival ends at midnight on Sunday.

The festival will be held rain or shine.

The 11th annual Coachella festival kicks off on Friday, April 16, 2010 and ends on Sunday, April 18, 2010.
