Coach Leather Goods

Coach Leather Goods - Coach is an American leather goods company famous for their handbags. What started as a small family business in a loft in New York in the 1940s, has grown into a high end maker of luxury bags, briefcases, wallets, and accessories.

In 1960 Miles and Lillian Cahn wanted to expand their small wholesale bag company into a retail collection. After two years of waiting for designer Bonnie Cashin to become available, they began their endeavor and officially created a line called Coach. Cashin changed the way handbags were created by using colors such as pink, orange, and yellow and blending Belgian linen. This was extremely exciting to the company since the original colors were black and brown. Once the design popularity grew, Cashin created matching wallets and cosmetic bags to add to the collection along with a new kind of fastener known as a brass toggle.
