The final nominees for the 2008 CMA Awards were announced on September 10, 2008 during ABC's Good Morning America and the Country Music Television's program CMT Insider. The Country Music Awards 2008 is the 42nd annual. It took place November 12, 2008 in the Sommet Center in Nashville and aired live on ABC. The nominees for entertainer of the year were Kenny Chesney, Brad Paisley, George Strait, Sugarland and Keith Urban
