The Club sandwich originated in a gambling club in Saragoga Springs, New York during the 19th century.
The club sandwich, also known as a clubhouse sandwich is a double decker sandwich made with turkey, bacon, lettuce, and tomato stacked in between three slices of toasted bread, cut into quarters and pierced with a long frilly topped cocktail stick to keep the sandwich together. Usually served with French Fries.
