Hasbro produced a limited collector’s edition Cloverfield Monster toy. The 14-inch action figure will not ship until September, 2008, but can be purchased and reserved ahead of time on HasbroToyShop.com. The toy retails for approximately $100 and replicates the look, movement and gruesome details of the fictional creature that was kept under wraps until the film's release.
Features
The toy includes sound (electronically-generated caterwaul based on film sounds), two interchangeable heads (one each for the monster's "calm or agitated" moods), 10 "parasites" (the man-sized, spider-like creatures depicted in the film) and the head of the Statue of Liberty, made to scale.
