Cloverfield Spoilers
- A scratchy, indistinct vocal recording plays at the end of the credits. Many listeners believe the voice is saying, "Help me." Played backward, you may hear, "It's still alive."
- During the last scene on Coney Island, an object can be seen falling from the sky into the ocean. Some have suggested this may be the Cloverfield Monster arriving to Earth from outer space. Others contend that it is a satellite, and that the monster was lying dormant on the ocean floor for thousands of years until the soft drink company Slusho! awakened it while deep sea mining.
- According to the DVD commentary, the monster is a baby reacting out of fear and confusion. It has crab-like monster parasites that drop from its body as it moves.
- Almost everyone dies, and the military destroys Manhattan. They die in the following order: Jason Hawk, Marlena, Hud, Rob and Beth. It is unknown whether Lily, who got into a military helicopter, lived.
