Closet Organization
Cynthia Ivy, the owner of Whitespace, gives an interview to Meghan Carter of "Ask the Decorator" in this 7 minute video. One of the biggest mistakes, according to Ivy is that people try to organize their closets to be like those they see in magazines. She says people should think about what they prefer. How do they prefer to store their clothes? (folded, hung, in closed containers, etc.) Then they need to purge the things they no longer need and get rid of everything they do not like any more and are no longer needed. She mentions that having an objective opinion of someone helping you can be valuable. She then talks about how to decide on the organization items themselves and the price points of different materials and organizers and finally how to divide and store the things you are keeping.
