He has also produced a number of films, to varying amounts of success. Some of his most successful movies were adapted from his stories. Prominent examples of such include 1987's Hellraiser, based on his 1986 novella, The Hellbound Heart and his Candyman series, which began in 1992 and was based on his 1985 short story The Forbidden.
Artistic Career
Barker is also an accomplished visual artist. He created cover art for his collections of stories and plays, has had multiple exhibitions of his art, and published comics for Marvel. As well, he collaborated with Dreamworks Interactive on a computer game Clive Barker's Undying, released in 2001.
