On May 22, 2008, David Paterson, the current Governor of New York State, said that Hillary Clinton was showing signs of "desperation."
Patterson, who took office after the resignation of Eliot Spitzer, is a longtime Clinton supporter and a Superdelegate who has already given his endorsement to Clinton.
His comment came in reference to Clinton's recent statements calling for the reinstatement of delegates from Florida and Michigan in the count for the Democratic nomination for the 2008 Presidential Election.
Both states had their delegates stripped as punishment for disobeying the national party's rules on primary scheduling.
At the time, the decision was supported by all Democratic primary candidates.
Patterson stated that he would continue to support Clinton "she makes a different determination."
