Early Life
Cornelius Cliff Floyd was born in Chicago, Illinois, on December 5, 1972. He attended Thornwood High School. In 1991, Floyd was selected by the Montreal Expos with the 14th pick in the Major League Baseball amateur draft.Pro Career
On September 18, 1993, Floyd made his MLB debut with the Montreal Expos. He spent several productive seasons with the Expos till he was traded to the Florida Marlins in 1997. He has played for several teams throughout his career, including the Boston Red Sox, New York Mets, Chicago Cubs and the Tampa Bay Rays. In 2007, Floyd appeared in 108 games for the Cubs and compiled a .284 batting average with 9 home runs and 45 runs batted in.Cliff Floyd Timeline
