Keeping a clean home can be a chore, literally. Unless you have a housekeeper, you have to go from room to room cleaning, dusting and organising your home, several days each week - if not everyday. It take time and help from other members of the family to learn how to keep every time organized and looking neat and clean. You can start your cleaning by getting rid of everything you do not want or need. Collect all of the items and give them to the homeless shelter so that you can start getting your home looking fresh for the coming Easter holiday.
If you have stains on your carpet, this can make the entire room look unkempt. A schedule for yourself and everyone in the home with their chores posted can help to minimize the disorder. If you are free on the weekend, you can spend a few hours cleaning and making your home look more inviting. Get everyone to pitch in so that it will get done faster and more thoroughly. If you have problems and you are unsure about how to clean some items, feel free to ask questions.
Kitchen Cabinets and Pantry
Cluttered, disorganized kitchen cabinets and pantries are not only an eyesore, you also waste time when you have to look over every label when you reach in to get something. Here is a fast and easy way to get you cabinets and pantry properly arranged and clutter free.
- Remove everything inside and put it on the counters.
- Separate the categories and mark a permanent pace for the items. Make sure you keep in mind the location of appliances to plugs and glasses, to the water source... so that you can be efficient as well as organized.
- Put the appliances you use the least and place them on the highest shelves or in any cabinets that are not too convenient to reach.
- Throw away the items that you know you will never get around to cooking and eating.
- If you have a lot of canned food, donate it or put it in a food emergency kit that you keep in the attic or basement.
- Put the items back in an organized manner, keeping the most used items near the front with labels turned toward the front.
These small changes will make your cabinets less cluttered and it will be easier to get to the item you need.http://www.goodhousekeeping.com/home/getting-organized/clutter-solution-kitchen-cabinets-may07
