While running an unsuccessful bid for governor of Texas in 1990, oil man Clayton Williams was heard making an off-color joke comparing rape to weather. The comment was brought up before a John McCain fundraiser scheduled to take place at Williams' home in June of 2008 and resulted in McCain's canceling the event.
