Pro Career
Buchholz was drafted by the Red Sox with the 42nd pick in the 2005 Draft. Buchholz would make his major league debut on August 17, 2007. He would win his first game against the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim. In his second start he would surpass his excellent debut by pitching a no hitter against the Baltimore Orioles. He would be the first Red Sox player ever to pitch a no-hitter in his rookie season. In 2008, Buchholz would be named to the starting rotation of the Boston Red Sox. While he would spend most of 2008 and 2009 in the minor leagues, Buchholtz would begin the 2010 season with the major league club.
