Clarke MacArthur is a Canadian professional hockey player. He currently plays for the Atlanta Thrashers in the National Hockey League.
MacArthur was acquired by the Thrashers at the 2010 NHL Trade Deadline from the Buffalo Sabres in exchange for 2010 third and fourth round draft selections.
2009/10 Season
MacArthur was averaging over 14 minutes of ice time per game for 60 games with the Buffalo Sabres before his trade to Atlanta. He scored 13 goals (3 of which came on the power play) and added 13 assists.
2008/09 Season
MacArthur appeared in 71 games for the Sabres, and scored 17 goals and added 14 assists.
Previous Seasons
MacArthur came up with the Sabres for the first time during the 2006-07 season, and appeared in 19 games for the Sabres. He scored his first career NHL goal on February 22, 2007 against the Ottawa Senators. He would also play in 51 games that season with Buffalo's minor affiliate, the Rochester Americans of the American Hockey League.
He would again split time between the two teams for the duration of the 2007-08 season, playing 43 games in Rochester and 37 with Buffalo.
MacArthur was drafted during the first of his three season of junior hockey eligibility with the Medicine Hat Tigers of the Western Hockey League. In 189 career games with the Tigers, he tallied 88 goals and 136 assists.
