• Clap Your Hands Say Yeah (also known as CYHSY) are an American indie rock group Brooklyn, New York.

  In January 2009, it was announced CHYSY had canceled plans to go back into the studio to record their third album. Members Tyler Sargent and Robbie Guertin will instead focus on their other band, Uninhabitable Mansions.

• Background

  The members of Clap Your Hands Say Yeah met while attending Connecticut College. The band gained popularity in 2005 via Internet buzz created by bloggers. According to Billboard Magazine, they have sold over 200,000 copies of their self-titled debut without the help of a major record label. Their second album, Some Loud Thunder, was released in January 2007 and debuted at #47.
