Cindy Grossman is the former wife of star NFL running back Herschel Walker. Grossman was married to Walker for 16 years, and the couple had one child, Christian Walker.
In 2008, Walker wrote in his autobiography, Breaking Free, that during his entire marriage to Grossman he suffered from Disassociative Identity Disorder (DID), a condition that had formerly been termed Multiple Personality Disorder. In television interviews conducted in conjunction with the release of the book, Grossman said that she had met with Walker's psychiatrist, Jerry Mungadze, and that the diagnosis of DID "made perfect sense."
Grossman also recounted how Walker held a gun to her head; Walker claims he does not remember the incident, although it could have happened because he suffered from memory loss in connection with the disorder.
