Early Life
Hinds was born in Belfast, Ireland, to a father who was a doctor and a mother who was an actress. He decided to follow in the footsteps of his mother, although he did start law school at first. After studying drama at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, he worked in the theater for many years, including as Richard III with the Royal Shakespeare Company.
