Chun Li debuted in Street Fighter II as an an Interpol agent who enters a martial arts tournament while looking for M.Bison, who murdered her father. She was one of the first women to be a prominent character in video games. Ming-Na portrayed Chun-Li in the original on screen adaptation, and in the upcoming film Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun Li she will be played by Canadian actress Kristin Kreuk.
