-
Brief Biography
An Atlanta native, James was signed by his hometown team in the 2002 draft, and he made his debut with the team in 2005. The following year, James became a dependable starter, compiling a respectable 11-4 record and a 3.78 ERA. His .733 winning percentage that year was the best in the National League. James cooled down somewhat in 2007, as his ERA ballooned to 4.24, and his won-loss record evened out at 11-10. James also led the National League in home runs allowed, with 32. Despite making a six-figure salary with the Braves, James returned to an off-season job working as a window and door installer at Lowe's in Atlanta, Georgia. -
