The new version of Chrono Trigger DS has multiplayer elements that are linked to a player's saved games. Players can have up to three saved games, and each of those can house a creature that players can build up and battle against others.IGN: Chrono Trigger Multiplayer Hands-on (October 28, 2008)
Multiplayer Info
The place where players will raise their monsters is called the Arena of Ages. This is where players will complete small quests for the monsters and build them up to eventually fight against others. Players can choose from a variety of monsters including elemental, light and dark creatures. Players can choose to equip their monsters, but this will cost them gold in the main story mode of the game. At the same time, gold and some rewards your monster collects may be accessed in the story mode.IGN: Chrono Trigger Multiplayer Hands-on (October 28, 2008)
