  • Chrono Trigger DS has two available game modes: DS Mode and Classic Mode. The first mode takes full advantage of the dual screens of the Nintendo DS, while the latter allows players to enjoy the game with its traditional interface.
  • DS Mode

The DS Mode in Chrono Trigger uses the Nintendo DS' touchscreen for selecting commands from the game menu, although the control pad can be used instead if that is more intuitive for the player. The top screen of the DS is left completely clear for in-game action, while status information and menus are displayed on the bottom screen.Official Site: Chrono Trigger DS
  • Classic Mode

For those who have played previous versions of Chrono Trigger and are feeling a little nostalgic, developer Square Enix provided Classic Mode, which allows players to enjoy the game as it was originally designed. Game menus appear on the top screen over the action in traditional menu-based RPG style, commands are selected using the control pad, and status information appears on the bottom screen for convenience.Official Site: Chrono Trigger DS
