Downloadable content is already in the works for The Chronicles of Riddick Assault on Dark Athena, the first-person shooter due for release on April 7, 2009. The DLC will include five new multiplayer maps, bringing the grand total to twenty. Prices and a release date for the new content have not yet been announced.

About the Game
Developed by Starbreeze AB, The Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena features a complete graphic overhaul of 2004's Escape From Butcher Bay for the original Xbox, as well as an expansion called Dark Athena that adds an additional ten hours of gameplay.The game now has a multiplayer feature, which was missing from the original game, and includes 15 different maps. The planned downloadable content will add five more maps to the mix. There are six multiplayer modes: Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, Capture the Flag, Butcher Bay Riot, Pitch Black and Arena. Another Riddick Film?
Vin Diesel, the star of the the video games and the two Riddick films, Pitch Black and The Chronicles of Riddick, has hinted in the past that a third film is in the works. He stated that, while all the attention has been put on the game while it was in development, more info about the film will become available as the game's release date nears.
