Turlington was discovered by Dennie Cody while horseback riding in Miami, Florida. Turlington along with Linda Evangelista, Cindy Crawford, Naomi Campbell, Elle MacPherson, Claudia Schiffer, Stephanie Seymour and Tatjana Patitz are known as the first supermodels. Turlington is also known for her yoga practice and campaign, Smoking is Ugly. She also designed a line of yoga clothing with Puma called Nuala.
