Christy Carlson Romano is an American actress, author and singer. She was born on March 20, 1984 in Milford, Connecticut. Romano has two siblings. She spent part of her childhood in Atlanta, Georgia where she played in the production of Annie. Romano attended Columbia University's Barnard College where she majored in English and international relations. She was romantically linked to Cal Thomas but their relationship ended in May of 2006.

Romano made her acting debut on Broadway with the 1997 production of Parade. She had roles in the television series Even Stevens, Cadet Kelly and Kim Possible. She played in the Broadway production of Beauty and the Beast as the character of Belle for 31 weeks beginning on February 17, 2004. Romano's other works include The Many Trials of Tammy B, Everyone Says I Love You, Henry Fool, Goosed, Campus Confidential, The Cutting Edge: Going for the Gold, Taking 5 and The Cutting Edge 3: Chasing the Dream. Her future works include The Legend of Secret Pass and Movin' In.
