Christopher Walken is an award-winning film and theater actor whose prolific career has spanned over half a century, including such films as Annie Hall, The Deer Hunter, Pulp Fiction, Wedding Crashers and countless others. His film debut was in 1971's The Anderson Tapes after decades of working in television. In 1978 he played Nick in The Deer Hunter, a role that would earn him an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor. He would be nominated for the same award in 2003 for his performance in Catch Me If You Can with Leonardo DiCaprio. Additionally, Walken has been nominated for an Emmy and a Golden Globe award.
Walken made a name for himself as a comedic actor, particularly for many memorable performances on the sketch comedy show Saturday Night Live, which he has hosted multiple times. One of his most famous bits is the infamous More Cowbell sketch, in which Walken, playing a record producer for Blue Oyster Cult, insists on hearing more and more cowbell while recording "Don't Fear the Reaper."
