Christopher Rice is an author and columnist. Son of author Anne Rice and poet Stan Rice, Christopher did not always intend to become a writer. He studied acting and had great hopes of becoming an actor.
After his mother went into a diabetic coma, he returned to New Orleans to take care of her. He sat by her bedside as she recovered and began to write his first novel, A Density of Souls.
Many of the main characters in his books have been gay, and he has established a large following in the gay community. He also writes a bi-weekly column for The Advocate.
Career
Rice coming from a family of writers steps up to join the fold releasing his first novel in 2000 called A Density of Souls. He has went on to produce three more novels and is a writer for the The Advocate
