Christopher Poole created the popular website 4chan. Until July 9, 2008, he was known only as "moot."
In 2009, "moot" received millions of votes in the annual Time magazine's online poll for the top 100 people in science, politics, entertainment and technology. On July 9, 2008, Time magazine and The Wall street Journal both revealed that the mysterious "moot", founder of 4chan, was actually a young man named Christopher Poole.
