Christopher McQuarrie won a Best Original Screenplay Oscar for The Usual Suspects. Before he wandered out to Hollywood, he spent a year working in Western Australia, and some time as a security guard for a detective agency in New Jersey.Variety: Christopher McQuarrie (April 19, 2009)In 1993 McQuarrie was approached to co-write the screen play of Public Access by an old highschool friend, Bryan Singer.
