On June 18, 2008, Christopher Aldorasi was sentenced to nine to 27 years in prison for his involvement in a body parts snatching scheme masterminded by oral surgeon Michael Mastromarino.
Gruesome Scheme
Operating out of a Brooklyn funeral home, Aldorasi was one of the so-called "cutters," who removed body parts from corpses. In many cases, the body parts were removed without permission from the deceased or their family and some were diseased or in advanced stages or deterioration. The stolen body parts were then sold to biomedical companies for use in transplants.
