Include your dogs in the Christmas festivities, by dressing them up as reindeer or Santa Claus. Take care though, the holiday season may be unsettling to your pet.
Holiday Dog Care
Confine your dog to a separate room when hosting a holiday gathering, to prevent their anxiety, injury or the possibility of them harming someone in the midst of all of the excitement. Consider the fact that chocolate may be poisonous to your dog, so don't place boxes of candy under the tree where your dog can find it. Edible ornaments and tinsel should also be avoided.Suite101.com: ...Christmas With a Pet Dog (October 27, 2008)
If you plan to travel during Christmas, book your kennel or sitter in advance. If you must travel with your dog, see Mahalo's guides to flying, driving and traveling with your pet. Airlines have strict rules and normally only allow two pets on each cabin flight and limit the number of pets in the cargo area, so book those reservations early as well.Suite101.com: ...Christmas With a Pet Dog (October 27, 2008)
