News broke of Marinoni's and Nixon's relationship in 2003, during which Nixon separated from Danny Mozes, father of her two children and boyfriend of 15 years. Despite the tabloid frenzy that ensued at the time, Nixon said she, her children and Marinoni have become a "regular family."
