Christine Lahti is an American actress. She was born on April 4, 1950 in Birmingham, Michigan. Her first role was in Dr. Scorpion in 1978. Her first major role was in the movie And Justice For All, which co-starred Al Pacino. Lahti has won an Academy Award, and Emmy and two Golden Globe Awards.
Life and Career
Christine Lahti has appeared in over 30 films since her major debut role as Gail Packer in the 1979 movie And Justice For All. She studied drama at the University of Michigan and fine arts at Florida State University. Lahti won a Golden Globe and an Emmy Award for her role as Dr. Kathryn Austin on the television series Chicago Hope. In 1998, she won an Oscar award for best short film "Lieberman in Love", in which she starred and directed. In 2001, Christine Lahti directed her first feature film "My First Mister". Since 2005, she has been a contributor to The Huffington Post.
