Christine Beatty

Christine Beatty was the chief of staff for the mayor of Detroit, Kwame Kilpatrick. Beatty resigned from her post after having lied under oath about an extra-marital affair she was having with Kilpatrick. Beatty was sentenced to 130 days in prison for obstruction of justice. Text Message Scandal

Beatty and Kilpatrick were both married when they had an affair in 2002. Several police officers sued Kilpatrick, saying that their career were ruined because they were suspicious about Kilpatrick's personal life. Beatty and Kilpatrick both lied in court about the affair.
