• Christina Garcia is the mother of Mercades Nichols, one of the teenage girls involved in the beating of 16-year-old Victoria Lindsay in March 2008.

  In February 2009, Garcia was arrested for allegedly beating her teen daughter. It is alleged that Garcia kicked Nichols numerous times, spit on her and grabbed her by the hair. • Today Interview

  On April 8, 2008, Garcia appeared on Today to discuss what happened with Victoria Lindsay. She told Matt Lauer that the police were blowing the entire incident out of proportion, and in other interviews stated the three minutes of videotape released by the sheriff's department were the worst segment of the 30-minute videotape.
