Christian Slater is an American actor who has starred in such films as Pump Up the Volume, and True Romance.
Life and Career
Christian Slater is the son of casting executive Mary Jo Slater and actor Michael Hawkins. He was born and raised in New York City.
He started his acting career with a role on One Life to Live and later moved to theater roles on Broadway. His movie debut came in The Legend of Billie Jean. One of his best received films was True Romance.
He went on to do number of films as a leading man but more recently has done more work that has been direct to DVD. In October of 2008 he is slated to appear as the lead in an NBC show called My Own Worst Enemy.
