  • Christian Ehrhoff is a professional hockey player originally from Germany. He currently plays with the San Jose Sharks of the National Hockey League.
  • Career Highlights

    Ehrhoff began his career playing junior hockey in Germany. In 2000, he joined the Krefeld Pinguine in the Deutsche Eishockey-Liga, or German Elite League. He was drafted 106th overall in the 2001 NHL Draft by the San Jose Sharks. Ehrhoff continued to play in Germany for a few years, including in the 2002 Winter Olympics and Ice Hockey World Championships. He then made his NHL debut with the Sharks in the 2003-04 regular season, playing 41 games, earning one goal and 11 assists. Late in the season he was invited to play in the NHL Young Stars Game. During part of his rookie season and during the 2004-05 NHL Lockout, Ehrhoff played with the Sharks' American Hockey League affiliate, the Cleveland Barons. He returned to the Sharks in 2005, earning a full roster spot with the team. Ehrhoff represented Team Germany again in the 2006 Winter Olympics.
