Christian Brando was the eldest child of actor Marlon Brando. In 1990, Brando pled guilty to manslaughter in the death of Dag Drollet, the boyfriend of his half-sister Cheyenne Brando. Brando died of pneumonia in early 2008.
Manslaughter Charges
Brando's imprisonment for the killing of Dag Drollet in 1990 attracted widespread media attention. Cheyenne complained to Christian that Drollet had been physically abusive towards her. In an attempt to scare him, Brando accidentally shot Drollet. The prosecution in the case charged Brando with murder, but the charge was later decreased to manslaughter when Cheyenne failed to materialize as a witness. Christian served in prison until 1996. Following his release, he worked as a tree cutter and welder. Cheyenne committed suicide in 1995.
