Chrissy Mazzeo sued the governor of Nevada, Jim Gibbons, in October 2008, for allegedly threatening to rape her in 2006. After the two met at a bar, Gibbons walked her to her car, he allegedly pressed her against a wall in the parking garage and said he would rape her, but Mazzeo says she escaped. She reported the incident to police. No charges were filed in the incident due to a lack of evidence. Gibson was elected governor a few weeks later.LV Review Journal: Gibbons accuser pursues lawsuit (October 15, 2008)
