Chrisette Michele

Chrisette Michele is an American R&B and jazz singer.

Featuring the singles "Best of Me," "Love Is You," and "Be OK," Chrisette Michele's debut album, I Am was released in 2007. As of April 2008, it has sold 397,000 copies.Billboard: Chrisette Michele, DeVaughn Take "Love" On Tour (April 29, 2008)

The album earned Michele various award nominations, including "Best New Artist" at the 2008 BET Awards. The first single off I Am, "If I Have My Way," was nominated for "Best Female R&B Vocal Performance" at the Grammys that same year.

Prior to her solo debut, Michele appeared on songs by popular rap artists. In 2006, she sang on Jay-Z's track "Lost One" off his Kingdom Come album. The next year, she performed on Nas's "Can't Forget About You."
