Chris Young (Singer)

Chris Young is an American country music singer. He was born on June 12, 1985 in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.While growing up, he performed in children’s theater. That is when his family discovered his talents in music. He continued his passion for music through out high school. Chris Young spent his summers practicing music with his friends in a rented storage unit. His grand father Richard Yates was a Louisiana Hayride performer

He took music business classes from the Belmont University in Nashville. Later he attended Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro. After the studies, he started performing on stage with his music. Chris Young got attention from the Nashville record labels because of his talents. When he was performing for a Texas nightclub, one of his fans suggested that he should audition for the television talent competition Nashville Star.

Chris Young was reluctant at that time. His friend convinced him that he could get a recording contract with RCA records if he won the competition.
