Starting tailback for the 2008 Ohio State Buckeyes football team Chris "Beanie" Wells injured his right foot during the first game of the 2008 season. OSU went on to beat Youngstown State, 43 to 0. Wells was sidelined for three games because of the injury, but returned to play in the September 27, 2008, game against the Minnesota Golden Gophers.
Wells was selected 31st overall in the 2009 NFL draft by the Arizona Cardinals on April 25, 2009.
